The roadside country store of Fred’s Famous Peanuts opened its doors over 40 years ago. Since 1982, Fred’s Famous Peanuts has been selling boiled peanuts. Through the years recipes were created and developed into the products the store sells today: Famous Fried Peanuts, Fresh Roasted Peanuts, Homemade Peanut Brittle, Fresh Pork Rinds, Cinnamon Twists. Many enjoy the free samples and the life size soft sculptures of old folks and kids sitting around. Fred’s Famous Peanuts has The Best Peanuts in The Mountains.
